Complementary Therapies Pic

Rolfing is complimentary with Homeopathy, Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Reiki and other off body thermal dynamic therapies.

Regular exercise is encouraged, but take time to be conscious of what your body needs and wants.

  • Running is fine – but I wouldn’t recommend running a marathon during the series.
  • Pilates Alotapilates
  • Gyrotonics and Yoga are excellent compliments – especially if you already have a daily practice.

Often during a series your balance and coordination are shifting along with the structural changes.

Here are some local businesses that I recommend:

Balance Fitness Studio
Balance Fitness Studio has expert instructors who know about Rolfing and are mindful of the integrative process. If you are interested in engaging in a regular exercise and wellness routine, or you are shopping for a new one, I highly recommend a local fitness studio found at 2902 Garfield Ave S, Minneapolis MN.

ojalaYOGA

Christine Ojala has been teaching yoga for the past 13 years. She holds two yoga teacher certifications and a BFA in dance from the University of Minnesota.

Christine's  teaching draws from her in-depth study of the Ashtanga vinyasa system,  the Iyengar method, and vipassana (mindfulness) meditation.  Her classes  weave breath awareness and breath control together with the art of  asana (postures),bandhas (energy locks), and drishti (gazing points) --  an approach that she feels builds stronger, healthier, and more efficient bodies and patterns of movement.
